Judge Orders a San Diego Landmark, a 29-Foot Cross, to Come Down

For nearly 60 years, a 43-foot cross atop the Mt. Soledad Veteran's Memorial has stood as one of San Diego's most recognizable landmarks.

But if an order made Thursday by San Diego U.S. District Judge Larry Burns stands up, the cross will soon have to come down.
