Home of the Braves? Wisconsin Close to Nixing Native American Mascot Law

Three years ago when Democrats controlled Wisconsin's government, the state passed a law targeting Native American-themed mascots and team names used by public schools. The measure, which subjected schools with racial nicknames to thousands of dollars in fines, was believed to be the first-of-its-kind in the nation. But now its days may be numbered.
