Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi are poised to lap up a bevy of awards from Benchmark Litigation.
The firm has been nominated as “Minnesota Firm of the Year” and firm partners Ronald J. Schutz and Jan M. Conlin are on the short list to be named “Midwest Litigators of the Year” by the inaugural Benchmark Litigation’s Annual Awards 2013. Schutz and Conlin are finalists for “Midwest Litigator of the Year” and “Midwest Female Litigator of the Year,” respectively.

In addition, the firm is nominated for “National Case of the Year” as well as recognition among Midwest law firms in the practice area categories of General Commercial and Intellectual Property.
The firm landed on the short list for National Case of the Year recognition for its work representing TiVo in Tivo v. Verizon Communications. Last fall, Verizon agreed to pay more than $510 million to end patent-infringement suits against it by TiVo and Active Video Networks. Schutz represented TiVo.
Winners will be announced January 31, 2013.
