Tax court judge sought

Governor Dayton is seeking a new tax court judge, to fill the vacancy created upon the resignation of the Honorable Kathleen H. Sanberg..

 
The Minnesota Tax Court is an executive branch court established by the Minnesota Legislature to hear and consider only tax-related cases. Individuals must be citizens of the state of Minnesota and must possess experience with and knowledge of taxation and tax laws. Judges are appointed by the governor to serve six-year terms. 
 

Those interested in serving should submit an “Open Appointments” application along with a letter of interest and a resume for consideration to the Court. Application forms can be found on the Secretary of State’s website at http://www.sos.state.mn.us/index.aspx?page=5.

 Application materials should be sent to the Governor’s Office, Room 130 State Capitol, 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55155 or via email to tiffany.orth@state.mn.us.  All application materials must be received by close of business, Tuesday, September 25, 2012.
