NCAA Has Tough Day in Court

OAKLAND, Calif.—The NCAA had a bruising day in court Tuesday as it worked to defend rules that prohibit athletes from getting paid. Leading up to the trial, U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken was tough on the organization, pre-emptively batting down some of the NCAA's key arguments. Things haven't been any easier with the trial underway.
