During oral arguments before the Second Circuit in Jacoby & Meyers' attack on New York state's ban on law firms accepting outside investment from non-lawyers, an attorney pressing the attack took heat for insisting he had standing to challenge Rule 5.4 of New York's Rules of Professional Conduct, and then watched as the other side received it.
